The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) is providing more than $3.9 million in federal grant funding to Trent University interdisciplinary research projects advancing knowledge and innovative solutions aimed at addressing complex societal challenges. 

Among the initiatives being supported are projects investigating ancient parasitic diseases, cyberattack-resilient banking systems, and food security in the face of climate change. This funding helps enable Trent researchers to grow research programs, expand training environments, build Canada’s research capacity and explore emerging areas of inquiry.
