A state-of-the-art forensic lab on the bleeding edge of crime scene investigation

Forensic Science students at Trent University get to experience their labs in an immersive, all-encompassing learning environment: the Forensic Crime Scene Facility. It is the first-of-its-kind professional forensic training building constructed on a Canadian university campus with staged crime scene spaces, a full garage, a state-of-the-art laboratory, and outdoor evidence collection training environments.

This building is a dedicated space for students to get experience with the techniques, modern tools, and methodologies used by forensic professionals in the field.

“In this building you will be able to get hands-on learning in staged crime scenes, to gain a sense of what forensic scientists do in their daily jobs,” says Nessa. “Trent’s forensic science labs use industry-standard equipment to process and analyze evidence while minimizing cross-contamination.”

The Forensic Crime Scene Facility is an all-hands-on, all-in-one-place, learn-it-all environment giving students valuable experience and refined professional skills for successful careers.
