Two esteemed members of the Trent community, Chancellor Dr. Stephen Stohn CM ’66 and legendary music producer Dr. Bob Ezrin OC (hon) ’22, have received nation’s highest honour, being officially invested into the Order of Canada.
Chancellor Stohn was recognized as a Member of the Order of Canada for his enduring impact on Canadian artists as an award-winning television producer, and for advancing intellectual property rights as a distinguished entertainment lawyer. His legacy also includes decades of mentorship and support for emerging Canadian artists.
Dr. Ezrin was recognized as an Officer of the Order of Canada for his profound influence on generations of music lovers by producing iconic albums with artists including Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper. He is also an educator, staunch environmental advocate, and co-founder of the charity Music Rising.
The visionaries continue to influence future generations of leaders through their work with Trent students, offering mentorship and guidance in classes and in extracurriculars at the University.
Both were invested by the Governor General of Canada during a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on June 25.
