First year women’s soccer player Emma Twohey named one of the top young players in the country

Trent University Women's Soccer

A starting player on the Excalibur Women’s Soccer team, and now a USports women’s soccer all-rookie team member – it’s been an impressive first semester at Trent for Peterborough local, Emma Twohey.

“I am honoured to receive this recognition,” said the Biology & Health Sciences student who finished the season with four goals and two assists. “Trent has given me a family of players and coaches that continuously support me and bring out the best in me on and off the field. With coach Stu’s guidance, we have growing confidence and high standards for next season.”

Excalibur Soccer head coach, Stuart Robertson was proud but not surprised. “Emma has proven that she can handle the rigours of being a standout student-athlete at the highest level.”
