Trent University is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Bignell as a member of the Board of Governors.

Mr. Bignell retires at the end of this month from Siemens Milltronics where he served as President and CEO since 1995.

His previous affiliations have included Director, Siemens Milltronics, Director, Peterborough YMCA, Director, GPAEDC, Director, FisherCast Global, Director, Canadian Standards Association, Trustee, Lakefield College School, Industrial Chair, Fleming College’s Frost Campus, and the Canadian Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Bignell is a graduate of the engineering program at the University of Waterloo and completed his MBA degree at McMaster University.

His three-year term begins July 1, 2010.
