Call for Nominations — Margaret Laurence Lecture Fall 2009
The Margaret Laurence Lecture Committee is currently accepting nominations for speakers for the 2009 lecture. All members of the Trent and Peterborough communities may submit a nomination.
The Margaret Laurence Lecture is an annual public lecture, funded by the Margaret Laurence Lecture fund and the Canadian Studies Directorate, Heritage Canada. It is intended to bring a distinguished speaker to Trent to address a topic related to Margaret Laurence's own intellectual and political passions, specifically women's involvement in peace, ecology, literature, and/or feminism.
Letters of nomination should include supporting documentation such as biographical information or published reviews of the nominee's work, and any other relevant details and contact information that might be helpful to the committee.
Nominations should be forwarded by Friday, March 7, 2008 to the committee chair, Professor Margaret Hobbs. Nominations may be sent by email, or by mail to Women's Studies Department, Lady Eaton College, 1755 West Bank Drive, Peterborough, ON, K9L 1Z6.
