Follow our step-by-step guide to prepare for your arrival in Canada and ensure you have everything you need to begin studying at Trent University.
| Step 1 | Activate your myTrent account. |
| Step 2 | Accept your offer of admission by emailing admissions@trentu.ca. Include the name of your program, student number, and full name. |

| Step 4 | Prepare and submit your study permit application as soon as you obtain your Letter of Acceptance and Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from Trent. Visit our BorderPass at Trent page to learn how you can access free, trusted immigration support from licensed Canadian immigration lawyers when applying for your study permit. Note: Graduate-level students are PAL-exempt. |
| Step 5 | Plan your housing: |
| Step 6 | Register for courses. |
| Step 7 | Monitor your TrentU email for invitations to new student orientation and communications. |
| Step 8 | Prepare the following documents as required by IRCC which you will present at the airport. |
| Step 9 | Attend the mandatory Pre-Arrival Virtual Orientation session. |
| Step 10 | Review financial deadlines and pay your fees: |
| Step 11 | Plan your transit from the airport to your pre-arranged housing in Peterborough or Durham. |
| Step 12 | Arrive at Trent and attend in-person orientation. We look forward to meeting you! |
