"I graduated with an Honours B.A. from the International Development Studies Program in 1992, after spending my 3rd year in Ecuador. I then went on to study naturopathic medicine and am currently a primary care doctor in Alaska. Since graduating from Trent I have done medical and NGO work in Latin America and Asia, as well as serving remote fly in communities in Northern Canada and Alaska. I have always maintained that Trent and the IDS program gave me a solid background and passionate interest in development work. I took that base and acquired a skill that is easily transferable around the world. My years at Trent were instrumental in opening my eyes to issues that remain a large part of my work today."
