Mr. John Desbiens is the President and CEO of Cambium, a medium-sized multi-service consulting and engineering company providing services throughout Ontario and Alberta. Mr. Desbiens holds a degree in Civil (Environmental) Engineering degree from Queens University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. He is currently Chair of the Innovation Cluster Peterborough Kawarthas, Chair of the Kawartha Land Trust, Board Member of Peterborough Kawartha Economic Development, Board Member of Noblegen, and Board Member of the Center for Advancement of Water Treatment. He is past Director and Vice-President of the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association and past Co-Chair of the Trent Business Council. Following his service on the Trent Board of Governors’ Endowment Lands Committee as an external committee member for the 2018-19 term, Mr. Desbiens began his three-year appointment as a Board Member, effective July 1, 2019. He is currently the Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee.
