HCol. Kenneth Armstrong is a retired secondary school teacher with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. He is the past Chair of the Peterborough Lakefield Police Services Board, former Chair of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, and former Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa and is presently Honorary Colonel of the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment of the Canadian Army.
HCol. Armstrong is a former Peterborough “Citizen of the Year” and is a recipient of the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and a Commander in the Military Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem. HCol.
Armstrong’s appointment to the Trent Board of Governors was renewed for a second three-year term which began on July 1, 2015. He currently sits on the Advancement Committee and the Nomination and Governance Committee as well.
