William LeQuier

Artist Profile William LeQuier

Born in 1953, William Lequier attended Southern Connecticut State University in 1975 where he participated in a glass blowing programs while the field was still young.  It was here where he found the two loves of his life; his wife (Mary Angus), and the art of glass. He has evolved from geometric patterned vessels to organic sculptures carved in relief and constructed pieces and enjoys using sandblasting for texture and carving. Lequier and his wife now own a glass blowing studio in Vermont, called Bittersweet Glassworks.
