Leon Applebaum

Artist Profile Leon Applebaum

Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1945, Leon Applebaum graduated with a BFA at Massachusetts's College of Art before receiving an MA at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Leon also studied at Orrefor's Glass School in Sweden, and specializes in glass blowing, layering, imprinting, and cold working.  His glass work awakens the senses with its delicious color, texture, and enhanced optics using the color spectrum and trapped air bubbles. He currently owns and works out of Sahaj Glass Studio in New York.
