An Important Update Regarding Trent-ESL and Goose Camp
The Trent-ESL and GOOSE Camp programs have been an important part of Trent for many years. A combination of sector trends, financial realities, and broader external factors has made it increasingly challenging to sustain these programs and after careful review and consideration, Trent International will close all Trent-ESL programs and GOOSE Camp as of May 1, 2026.
Trent-ESL programs will continue operating until April 30, 2026, to honour all commitments to current and incoming students for January 2026. During this transition:
- Current ESL students and incoming January 2026 students will continue to receive the same high-quality instruction they have come to expect and our full support until they complete their level or transition to their next step.
- No new ESL or GOOSE Camp applications will be accepted as of December 10, 2025.
- Students who have applied but not yet arrived at Trent will receive direct communication from Trent International with guidance and options.

Seeking English Language Training Support?
Students who do not meet Trent University’s English Language requirements can still progress to undergraduate studies at Trent through the completion of alternate language training pathways. For recommendations on training opportunities with Trent’s trusted partners, please contact esl@trentu.ca.
