Makerspace Lab

Located in Otonabee College, Room 126, the Makerspace Lab provides an opportunity for students to experiment, design and build as they engage in STEAM activities. Makerspaces are appearing in numerous schools and are providing students with a wide range of opportunities for creativity. The School of Education Makerspace Lab focuses on tools that allow for digital and analog prototyping and fabrication, computational thinking, coding, mathematics, science, robotics and 3D printing, as well as multimodal storytelling and art and technology integration.

Drop-in hours and specific workshops will be scheduled, and time can be booked with the demonstrator to work with a particular tool or technique.

Explore the space!

Here’s an introduction to some of the tools you can explore in the Makerspace. Clicking on the links in the table below will take you to a digital cupboard. Click on the tools in the cupboard to find information and resources about them.
