Description: students will have an opportunity to experience a two-week intensive hands-on bioarchaeological excavation. Taking place on the Durham campus, students will learn excavation skills within a bioarchaeological context using replicas of human bones and artifacts. Upon completion of the physical excavation, students will also learn lab skills associated with the materials found, the processes around analyzing them, and the ethics of excavating human remains.
