A split exam is an exam divided in 2 or 3 sections, to be written and timed separately. The Instructor decides on the best places to divide an exam based on the length of time to write that exam section and the exam section content. Each exam section’s time is set based on how long it would take the class to write that section and the accommodated time is added (if applicable). The total amount of time to write the exam would be the class length of the exam and the student’s accommodated time. There is no additional time added for the breaks between each exam section. In a split test the student writes a section of the online exam, and they are not able to reopen this section once it is submitted. They write the next section of the exam after a break.
