Graduates from language programs at Trent have had success in a range of endeavours. Many go into teaching, others pursue graduate work in languages and other fields. Translation and interpretation are popular paths as well, as is library science and the editing and publishing industry. Speech/language pathology and other related health sciences attract language and linguistics graduates too.
Whatever the future holds, the skills acquired in a language-related degree are invaluable in today's rapidly changing world. In a global, multilingual context, learning a language opens doors to the rest of the world in addition to preparing you for jobs in our own bilingual country.
