Trent's Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program is informed by several advisory bodies and community partnerships, including the Field Advisory Committee (FAC).
FAC Mission
The mission of the Field Advisory Committee is to:
- Generate ideas related to field education practices, including policies, evaluation processes, and opportunities to expend the field education role within the community.
- Make recommendations related to Field Education for consideration by the Departmental Committee and/or the Field Education Coordinator.
- Support the Field Education Coordinator in their role.
FAC Membership
The FAC is comprised of representatives from across the Social Work community, including:
- Field Education Coordinators
- Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) faculty members
- CUPE instructors
- Field Instructors
- Students
Field Instructors are strongly encouraged to join the FAC. Membership is for one year, with the option to renew annually. The committee meets once or twice per semester, typically via Zoom, for two-hour meetings.
