This unique interdisciplinary degree program introduces students to a broad understanding of health, wellness, and the prevention and treatment of illness through courses across Psychology, Biology, Kinesiology, Sociology, and the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing. A strong emphasis on research, community-based learning, and practical application means you’ll develop a solid foundation for interpreting data and how to apply it to challenging health issues.
You will also develop the critical and analytical thinking skills needed to become a health and wellness leader or doctor, integrating behavioural theories into real-world scenarios and applications.

- Put theory into practice with a 12-week hands-on placement where you’ll engage in the real-life application of health promotion initiatives in settings such as public health agencies, clinics, and schools
- Sharpen your research and communication skills through focused coursework and choose to complete a fourth-year honours research thesis on a health topic of interest
- Learn to design, implement, and evaluate health communications and the promotion of health literacy in a unique third-year Health Communications course

Requirements
If you are coming straight from high school in Ontario or are a recent grad, the general admission requirements are:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- A minimum of six Grade 12 4U or 4M courses, including program specific prerequisites
- A minimum 70% overall final average
- ENG 4U with a minimum of 60%
Program specific requirements:
- A minimum 75% admission average, including SBI4U and either MCV4U or MHF4U
