Build a deeper understanding of the physical phenomena and mathematical principles that shape our world in Trent’s joint Mathematical Physics degree. Study quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and mathematical modelling while gaining hands-on experience with advanced scientific equipment and software. Small, interactive classes give you opportunities to tackle complex problems and develop versatile analytical skills with applications across a range of sectors.
- Gain hands-on experience with advanced scientific tools, including high-powered computers, lasers, microscopes and biomaterial characterization equipment, plus MATLAB, R and Sage Math.
- Put your ideas to the test through project-based courses, an honours thesis or faculty-supervised summer research.
- Join the Trent Undergraduate Physics Society and participate in lab tours and events like the annual Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference.
Explore the physics behind the cosmos, climate, and computing while building advanced mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in small, hands-on classes.
Gain valuable career experience while earning academic credit.
