Trent Forward: Learn more about our response to COVID-19.
Thomas H.B. Symons was a man who embodied the motto of Trent University: nunc cognosco ex parte (now I know in part). His curiosity for the world around him was only surpassed by his compassion for others. He particularly enjoyed conversations with young scholars and took great interest both in their studies and their post-university careers.
Beyond the Peterborough campus that bears his name, Professor Symons' work in the field of Canadian studies and "exemplary concern for students" through teaching excellence have been honoured in many ways throughout the University and across the world.
A photographic look back over the years of Professor Symons' deep connection to Trent.
