AI²: Academic Integrity & AI
What do you think of when you hear “AI”? Academic Integrity or Artificial Intelligence? At university, they are intertwined! This session will cover the basics of Trent University’s Academic Integrity and Artificial Intelligence policies, process, and procedures. We’ll answer questions like: What does Academic Integrity mean? What is the difference between academic dishonesty, plagiarism, and cheating? What are the consequences? What is Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)? Can I use GenAI (like ChatGPT) in my classes?

Novice Try-it-Days
Come join us for a morning rowing session. Want to try a new sport? Try novice rowing! Participants will be learning how to erg, proper rowing posture, how to get into a boat, how to feather, and row in a team dynamic boat. No experience necessary, athletic wear is recommended

Catalyst to Your Chemistry Undergrad
Designed for incoming first-year chemistry majors to meet other incoming first-year chemistry students and become acquainted with their new department. You will have the opportunity to engage upper-year chemistry students and the facilities and amenities available to you as a Trent chemistry student, in addition to meeting and socializing with faculty and staff from the chemistry department. Did we mention our homemade signature liquid nitrogen ice cream?!
