Life of Pi Motion Picture Based on Trent Alumnus' Novel Draws Eleven Oscar Nominations
Philosophy graduate and Booker Prize winner's novel a huge, global film success
Congratulations to Trent University alumnus Yann Martel, who saw his Booker Prize-winning novel Life of Pi come to the big screen in November 21 and is now enjoying nominations for 11 Oscars.
The novel was awarded the prestigious Man Booker Prize in 2002. The story follows a young man who finds himself stranded in a lifeboat with a hyena, an orangutan, a zebra, and a Bengal tiger.
