For students only! Want to feel more confident supporting friends through tough times?

STEPS (Skills To Enhance Peer Support) equips Trent students with the tools and confidence to support others in times of stress or distress. Through this program, you'll gain valuable skills to connect peers with resources and referrals, empowering you to make a positive impact within the Trent community and beyond.

Respecting Individual & Supporting Equity+ (RISE+)

  • Date: Tuesday, August 5th 2025
  • Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Location: Zoom (online)
  • Cost: FREE

Email your name and student number to counselling@trentu.ca to reserve your spot and be sure to specify which workshop(s) you would like to attend. Registration closes Friday, August 1st, Zoom links are emailed out at that time. 

Complete the full series to earn a certificate you can add to your co-curricular record. It's ideal for students pursuing leadership roles, students pursuing helping professions, and anyone who wants to foster a safer, more supportive campus community - and carry those skills with them beyond university.
