New AI program, paid co-ops, and special residence offers featured with on the spot offers and acceptances

Volunteers welcoming people to Durham Open House

Registrants to the Trent University Durham GTA March Open house are automatically entered to win free first year tuition and will have an opportunity accept their offer on the spot in leading academic programs with paid co-ops such as Artificial Intelligence, Business, Communications and Criminology. New this year students can take advantage of enhanced entrance scholarships including free tuition for scholars who have a 95 percent average or higher.

Open House attendees can join current students on a tour of the library, classrooms and student spaces as well as the new residence at Trent Durham, where they can have the residence application fee waived, and will be entered to win first-year residence and a meal plan just for visiting.

Students who are not sure which program to choose, can speak to enrolment advisors about Trent’s flexible Exploration Year by applying to Honours Arts or Honours Science, customizing their first year, taking courses from up to ten different disciplines, then meet with an academic advisor to explore options and transition into a degree they are passionate about in second year.

Future students, families, and friends can connect directly with leading faculty, attend information sessions hosted by professors to deep dive into their programs of choice, and speak with staff and students to learn more about Trent’s small class sizes and the supports and services available to help them succeed at Trent and beyond.

"Open House is a valuable opportunity for prospective students to immerse themselves in our campus community,” says Dr. Scott Henderson, vice-president and head of Trent Durham GTA. “It’s an energetic and inspiring day to explore your future, find your program, learn about available scholarships, and connect with student supports and services. Having conversations with our faculty, staff and current students gives guests a sense of our community and student life at Trent Durham."
