Peterborough ceremonies will be held in the Athletics Centre due to restoration work on the Bata catwalk; Durham GTA ceremonies taking place at Tribute Communities Centre

This June, Trent University will hold 16 convocation ceremonies across its Peterborough and Durham GTA campuses. Ceremonies in Peterborough will take place June 3 to 11, and Trent Durham GTA will host ceremonies on June 12 and 13.

Convocation Venues
In Peterborough, convocation celebrations will take place in the gym at the Athletics Centre due to the restoration work on the Bata catwalk, prioritizing the safety of all graduates and convocation guests and ensuring uninterrupted ceremonies away from the work site. The catwalk is a central feature of Trent’s podium, and the work site around the catwalk limits flow of traffic and accessibility to and from the podium.

Restoration work on the Bata catwalk aims to preserve its longevity and the accessibility of our campus for generations of students. Details and updates about this restoration project will be shared on MyTrent.

Trent Durham GTA 2025 Convocation ceremonies will be held at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, the location of past convocation ceremonies since 2022 and in 2019.

Students planning to apply to graduate can visit trentu.ca/convocation for additional information about convocation, including how to register to graduate and FAQs. The full schedule of ceremonies for academic programs will be available soon.

Questions about convocation can be sent to convocation@trentu.ca.
