Trent University will host future students, their friends and families at its Virtual Fall Open House this Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (EST), an opportunity for those planning their post-secondary pathways to explore Ontario’s #1 undergraduate university.

“Virtual Open House provides our future students and their supporters with a chance to discover Trent University in a digital space,” says Marilyn Burns, vice president of Communication and Enrolment at Trent University. “Trent is known for fostering meaningful connections between students, faculty and academic leadership, and this virtual event makes it easy for students to get to know us from wherever they are in the world and explore the breadth and depth of programs and supports the University offers in just a series of clicks.”

At Virtual Fall Open House, professors, students and staff from both of Trent’s campuses in Peterborough and Durham Greater Toronto Area, will host live chats and interactive information sessions. Trent’s spaces and places, including the brand new residence at Trent University Durham GTA, will also be featured through guided and self-guided virtual tours. As an added bonus, all prospective students who register for and attend the Virtual Open House are automatically entered into a draw to win free first-year tuition.

Highlights from Trent’s Virtual Fall Open House include:

  • A panel discussion with Trent’s Deans: Interact with senior leaders during an interactive session featuring the top reasons to attend Trent
  • Student-to-student and parent and supporters sessions: A chance for everyone to ask their questions
  • Academic information sessions: Chat with faculty and current students from your program of interest
  • Student services sessions: Speak with staff in scholarships, academic student supports, and residence
  • Guided virtual campus tours: Picture yourself at Trent’s Peterborough and Durham GTA campuses, and see inside residences and student spaces
  • Apply on the spot: Learn about the application process in sessions with Admissions staff
