myTrent applications on Apple devices
Tech Bulletin
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
We have observed an increase in issues accessing a specific subset of icons in myTrent from Apple iOS devices and Apple Mac computers using Safari and occasionally Google Chrome.
ISSUE:
Pages will continuously load for a period of time before failing and impacts the following applications:
- All course registration icons
- Grading
- Grade Verifications
- Unofficial Transcripts
- Prerequisite Waiver
- Verification of Enrolment
- Timetables
- Prerequisite Waiver
- Application to Graduate
- Change Campus Home Location
- Release of Information
- All Requisition icons
ACTION:
For Apple Mac computer users please ensure you have downloaded Mozilla Firefox. In testing, this browser consistently opens the above impacted icons.
Unfortunately, there is no recommended workaround for iOS users as all browser use the Safari engine in the background. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA for resolution at this time, however, we will keep our community updated on future progress.
