Following latest health and safety protocols, Trent welcomes small groups to tour Symons Campus including outdoor areas, Student Centre, residence, and more

Future students seeking an opportunity to explore Trent University in person before fall are now in luck as campus tours have resumed at Trent University’s Symons Campus in Peterborough, complete with the latest health and safety protocols.

Small group tours (no more than eight guests at a time) are available six days a week, Monday through Saturday. Trent guides will show visitors around the University’s picturesque Peterborough campus, including spectacular outdoor areas as well as select inside spaces including the Student Centre, a lecture hall, classroom, science lab and a residence room.

“From the sweeping views of the Otonabee River to seeing your future classrooms, labs and residence room, there’s nothing quite like experiencing Trent for yourself, in person,” says Marilyn Burns, vice-president Communications and Enrolment at Trent University. “We are thrilled to reintroduce campus tours and do so with the health and safety of our community and our visitors as our top priorities. We look forward to welcoming the incoming class of 2020 to our campus and to Trent.”

To help prepare for health and safety measures, all tour bookings must be made in advance at trentu.ca/tours. Along with a comfortable pair of shoes, guests must bring their own water bottle and face mask for the 90-minute tour. Masks will be provided to guests who do not have their own and all tour guides will also be wearing face coverings. Physical distancing will be in effect throughout the tour.

At this time, tour priority will be given to future Trent students and applicants for fall 2020.

Trent Durham GTA Virtual Tour
With construction well underway on a new residence and academic building at Trent’s Durham GTA Campus, tours will remain virtual this summer. The virtual tour experience highlights new residence rooms, classrooms and study spaces, as well as a sneak peek of the new campus eatery, part of renovations of the original campus building, and video highlights of the transformative Trent Durham student experience. The renovations and expansion will be complete later this summer.

Future students and families with questions about tours or the upcoming year at Trent, can email discovertrent@trentu.ca or call 1-888-739-8885.
