Join us for the first workshop in The Responsible AI Community Engagement Project, focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible technology use.
The session will include practical examples, discussion, and hands-on activities related to topics such as AI-generated phishing and scams, deepfakes and manipulated content, protecting sensitive information when using AI tools, and responsible AI use in academic and professional environments.
We are also pleased to welcome Ian Thomson, Director of IT Security at Trent University and Professor at Fleming College, as a guest speaker. Ian will share perspectives on the cybersecurity side of AI use and connect the discussion to real-world privacy and security considerations.
The workshop is designed for students, staff, and faculty with a range of experience levels. Whether you use AI regularly, teach or work in this area, or are simply interested in learning more about responsible and secure AI use, you are welcome to attend.
