HackTrent is Trent University’s annual hackathon where students from across Ontario come together to innovate, build, and collaborate on creative tech projects over an exciting weekend of coding, learning, and networking.

HackTrent 2025 is Trent University’s student-led hackathon bringing together passionate students from universities across Ontario to ideate and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Over the weekend, participants will form teams, attend workshops, network with industry mentors, and compete for prizes. Whether you’re a first-time hacker or an experienced developer, HackTrent offers an inclusive, collaborative environment to learn, create, and have fun.

This year’s theme focuses on creativity, accessibility, and community impact, encouraging participants to build projects that make a difference. Meals, swag, and mentorship will be provided throughout the event.

Hacker, volunteer, and mentor registration required through the HackTrent website. Meals, snacks, and swag provided.
