The Trent Teaching Commons and Fleming’s Learning Design and Support Team are thrilled to present the 2025 Kawartha Teaching and Technology Conference! This year’s conference focuses on the transformative impact of generative AI and emerging educational technologies on higher education. The conference will offer a full day of professional learning that is entirely free and completely online, featuring workshops, panels, keynotes, and fun social events.

Showcasing engaging, low-stress ways to integrate technology into teaching, with presentations and workshops by educators who use innovative approaches in their classrooms.

Conference Highlights:

  • Student Keynote Panel: A moderated discussion with a diverse group of students exploring their experiences navigating educational technologies, including the challenges and opportunities of AI in their studies.
  • Concurrent Workshop Sessions: Mid-day sessions with 20-minute presentations and 40-minute workshops led by your peers.
  • Lunch Time Social Event: Stay tuned for details—it could be anything from guided meditation to epic rap battles!
  • Closing Keynote by Dr. Fiona Rawle: A warm and inspiring talk from the University of Toronto Biology Professor on humanizing learning.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and reimagine the future of teaching and technology!
