On Friday, March 15, Trent University will open its doors to thousands of future students and their guests to tour the Peterborough campus, attend program information sessions, learn about paid co-ops, and get the chance to win free first-year tuition at March Break Open House.  

“Our March Break Open House gives students and their guests a valuable opportunity to explore campus, immerse themselves in Trent’s one-of-a-kind, student-focused atmosphere, and discover everything Trent University has to offer,” said Marilyn Burns, vice president of Communications & Enrolment. “With guided campus tours, information on supports, services and our colleges, and detailed program sessions, this event allows students to receive answers to just about any question about the transformative Trent student experience.” 

At Open House, guests will have the chance to learn about the many advantages of being a Trent student and get a sneak peek at campus life by connecting with current students and exploring campus through guided campus tours. Student supports, services and program information will also be showcased at the event, so guests can chat with informative staff and expert faculty about Trent’s paid co-op streams and career experience guarantee, degree and residence options, and wide range of scholarships and financial aid supports. 

March Break Open House is also the perfect place to accept an offer to Trent on the spot, with helpful Admissions staff on hand to assist with the process and mark the moment with a celebratory photo. Students can also apply on the spot – with many programs still accepting applications for fall. 

All students who attend Open House are entered in a draw for a chance to win free first-year tuition. 

Highlights from Trent’s March Break Open House events in Peterborough include: 

• Paid co-op streams: Discover new paid co-op streams in programs that span arts, science and social sciences and chat with the Careerspace team about Trent’s career experience guarantee. 
• Connect with profs and explore career-focused programs: Connect with leading faculty at informative program sessions on in-demand industries: Nursing; Business; Forensic Science; Education; Law & Arts/Law & Business; Environmental Studies and Science, to name a few. 
• Chat with community members: Speak one-on-one with Trent professors and students and find out more about supports and services available to help you succeed at Trent and beyond. 
• Tour inspiring spaces and places: Trent’s campus is fully open to explore at Open House. Guided by current students, guests can tour residences state-of-the-art research facilities and labs, like the new sector-leading Forensics Crime Scene Facility in Peterborough, as well as libraries and student spaces. 
• Get to know Trent’s Colleges: Immerse yourself in our unique collegiate environment by touring our College residences, social and academic spaces, and dining halls. Guests can also extend their Open House visit and hop on a complimentary shuttle to explore Trent’s historic Traill College in downtown Peterborough. 
• Accept an Offer or Apply On the Spot: Visit the “Accept Now” table and our admissions team will help students accept their offer, or apply, on the spot and take a celebratory photobooth picture. Remember to bring your Trent ID.
