Celebrating Academic Success: Over 20 Trent ESL Students Set to Begin Degree
Certificates awarded at annual Trent-ESL graduation
On April 5, Trent-ESL hosted a celebration for its 25 winter-term graduates from the program. Dr. Zafar Kayani, economics professor at Trent, and Cath D’Amico, manager of Trent-ESL, each provided words of inspiration to students from China, Somalia and Puerto Rico, all who are about to embark on degree studies.
“I have the greatest admiration for our Trent-ESL graduates who come into our program to learn academic English, and graduate with this amazing ability to pursue an undergraduate degree with this newly mastered proficiency,” said Cath D’Amico. “Our graduates have a tremendous track record for success as undergraduates, which is so gratifying for all of us in the Trent-ESL program. Congratulations to our graduates entering degree studies.”
Each term, Trent-ESL congratulates a group of students from around the world on their completion of the English for University program. Trent University offers four terms of ESL a year. The next semester begins April 17, 2018.
