CALLING ALL BIPOC ARTISTS IN THE NOGO/PTBO AREA

The Trent Queer Collective (TQC) and Trent Center for Women and Trans People (CWTP) are working together to form a self-care zine that amplifies BIPOC artists within the Nogojiwanong/Peterborough, ON area. We are current looking for BIPOC creators within the community to contribute photos of their work to this project. Submission details are provided below -

Theme: The theme of the zine is “Self-Care and the BIPOC Community”. We are looking for artists to submit work that represents a self-care ritual or item that is important to them/their community/someone they love.

Format: Docx or pdf for poetry and prose. Jpeg or jpg for images. The resolution must be at least 300ppi.

Exclusionary Criteria: In order to submit to the zine you must be a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour) individual. Additionally, due to funding, we can accept a maximum of 20 submissions from individual artists. Members of the BIPOC community who are also women/trans folk/visible racial minorities/people with disabilities are encouraged to apply and will be prioritized.

Honorarium: Artists whose submissions are accepted will be provided with a $20 honorarium via e-transfer.
