Trent University is gearing up for fall classes as students move into residence and engage in multi-access learning this September

Together Again. Welcome students to a defining new year at Trent. Thank you staff and faculty for making this possible

A new academic year will be a defining moment for navigating the “new normal” as new and returning students are welcomed to Trent’s community of scholars this fall – both remotely and in person.

Through a multi-access approach to learning, the University is planning supportive and enriching experiences for students this fall, with dynamic ways to engage and build connections, while following the latest public health recommendations.

“This fall we find ourselves in unique circumstances,” said Dr. Leo Groarke, president and vice-chancellor or Trent University. “These are times that call for critical thinking, citizens that challenge the way we think about processes, systems, science politics and technology. That is why we are dedicated to ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience for our students, both inside and outside of the classroom.”

The University will move into Phase 3 of the Trent Forward plan on September 1. With classes set to begin on September 10, a coordinated effort to safely move-in over 1,000 students to residence across both campuses, while following physical distancing guidelines, will take place from September 4 to 7.

Look for a special billboard welcoming our students, staff and faculty back to campus and our communities – now on display on Water Street in Peterborough.
