Trent University Durham GTA Welcomes Prospective Students to Fall Open House

Attend the Trent University Durham GTA Open House on October 28 and be entered to win free first-year tuition

Having welcomed its largest entering class ever this past fall, Trent University Durham Greater Toronto Area is hosting Fall Open House for future students, their families and friends on Saturday, October 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“It is an exciting time to be a part of the Trent University Durham GTA community. Our campus is expanding and our enthusiastic student population is growing at Ontario’s number one undergraduate university,” said Joe Muldoon, head of Trent University Durham GTA. “Finding a university that is the right fit is essential. We encourage everyone considering Trent to come and meet current students, chat with professors, and experience our close-knit community firsthand.”

At the Trent Durham GTA Fall Open House, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Speak with professors and students about their program of interest at the academic and student services fair
  • Tour the Trent University Durham GTA campus, including the Civic Recreation Centre – tours depart every ten minutes
  • Tour residences – residence tours depart campus at 2:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
  • Find out more about career preparedness and experiential learning opportunities
  • Visit the on-campus tipi to learn about services offered by the First Peoples House of Learning
  • Attend mini-lectures and information sessions

Visitors will also be able to learn more about our campus expansion plans. Trent University Durham GTA will be adding two new buildings to its campus, the first of which is expected to be complete by September 2019 and will include academic space and a 150-bed residence.

Prospective students attending Open House will be automatically be entered into a draw for a chance to win free first-year tuition. Attendees are also invited to post a photo of their time at Open House using the hashtag #DiscoverTrentU for a chance to win a Trent hoodie. Complimentary refreshments will be provided for guests.

Transportation reimbursements are also available for guests travelling to Open House using Go Transit. No registration required.

Open House at Trent University’s Peterborough campus will be held on Friday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
