Fall Open House: Highlighting the Best of Trent University Durham - GTA for Future Students

Students attending Trent Open House November 12 in Durham can enter to win first-year tuition free

Classrooms, labs, student life spaces, and the Trent University Durham - Greater Toronto Area experience – these are just a few of the highlights Trent University is inviting future university students to explore this Saturday, November 12 at the annual Fall Open House in Oshawa.

Open House at Trent University Durham - GTA runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is open to all prospective students and their friends and family interested in any of Trent’s programs.

“Open House generates a vibrant buzz throughout campus, highlighting all of the exceptional things about Trent Durham,” said Joe Muldoon, head of Trent University Durham – GTA. Attending an Open House is an important step for anyone considering post-secondary education and Trent’s event will not disappoint. We’re looking forward to meeting our prospective students this coming weekend.”

Trent University will offer attendees a chance to win their first-year tuition, and is also offering a free Bus-to-Us program which will make it easy for guests from the Toronto area to attend, with stops at Union Station and Scarborough Town Centre.

Over the course of the day, guests will have the opportunity to tour campus and the residence spaces available to Trent University Durham students, and connect with faculty, staff, and current students about programs of interest and Trent’s exceptional student experience. Other activities include information sessions, mini lectures, open science labs, and a new clubs and groups fair which will showcase the many student activities and interest groups available. Smoke’s Poutine food truck will also be on campus and guests are encouraged to enjoy lunch or a snack during their visit.

Prospective students are also invited to post a Facebook or Instagram photo, or Snapchat or Tweet a photo of their time at Open House, tagging @TrentUDurham or using the hashtag #DiscoverTrentU for a chance to win Trent swag.
