Trent University Athletics is pleased to announce the appointment of Julianna Stonehouse as the new director of Trent Summer Sports Camp (TSSC).

Trent University Athletics Announces New  “Julianna brings experience in working with children, managing student staff, designing sport and recreational programs, and in team development,” said Bill Byrick, Trent’s director of athletics. “We believe her leadership skills, combined with her experience and enthusiasm is a great fit for the Camp and for Trent Athletics.”

Ms. Stonehouse will be joined by TSSC veteran Robyn Ashworth (known to campers as “Peanut”) as the assistant director, who brings a wealth of experience to the Trent Summer Sports Camp operation. Over the past month, the Athletics Office has been processing the hundreds of camp registrations that have been received for this very popular community program.

Ms. Stonehouse will begin her new post immediately. Accredited by the Ontario Camping Association, the successful Trent Summer Sports Camp has been operating for 17 years and annually offers day camp experiences for 750 children, ages 5 to 17, including the Leader-in-Training program. The Camp Director position was formerly held by Trent alumnus Bruce Emmerton (“Paw Paw”) who built the camp to its present success.
