The Bata Library was designed by a team of Ron Thom’s strongest architects, including Paul Barnard, and later Paul Merrick. The window walled building seems to float on the Otonabee River, and its central top-lit atrium allows daylight to stream into the core and the adjacent study areas.
Alumni House is the campus home of the Trent University Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Affairs. This positive environment for staff, alumni and visitors also provides a permanent home for the Alumni Association’s Hall of Fame and heritage collections.

The new Bagnani Hall at Traill College houses both a modern and inspiring lecture forum designed to seat 85, and a complementary room furnished with some highly-prized furnishings and antiques from Vogrie, the Bagnani Estate near Port Hope.
Doors Open held on May 8th, 2016 celebrated Trent University's 50th anniversary. Visitors were welcomed to discover Trent's unique architecture, breathtaking art collections, state-of-the-art facilities, new and historical features, vibrant natural spaces, and much more.
In 2015, the Seasoned Spoon, Trent's student-run cafe cooperative was refurbished and renewed. The Dalglish Family Foundation generously invested in this iconic space.
