Born in 1952, Richard Royal is recognized internationally as one of the most skilled and talented glassblowers in the studio glass movement. He began sculpting in 1978 at the Pilchuck Glass School. He worked as one of the main assistants to Dale Chihuly, as well as Billy Morris and Benjamin Moore. Richard developed his own unique approach to glass by combining sensuality, fluidity, and bold abundance in his artwork. His work is included in renowned public and private collections worldwide.
