The Trent Advantage

Earn two degrees in just four years, with a direct pathway from your B.Sc. in Chemistry at Trent to your B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering at Swansea University in Wales, one of the top engineering schools in the United Kingdom.

Combine your passions for applied chemistry, engineering and exploring the world as you work towards your P. Eng. This unique dual degree combines hands-on research, engineering training, and global experience to prepare you for careers in energy, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, manufacturing, and process design.

  • Earn a general Trent University B.Sc. in Chemistry (accredited by the Canadian Society for Chemistry) and a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Swansea (accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers).
  • While studying at Swansea, receive a £3,000 tuition fee bursary each year (approximately $10,700 CAD) in financial support toward your international education.
  • Work in chemical engineering in the UK through an optional 12-month paid Year-in-Industry placement, earning a salary and hours required to acquire your P.Eng. licence in Canada.

Career experience while you learn
