Trent’s postgraduate certificates (PGCs) align with the Government of Canada’s field of study requirements based on Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes. After completing an eligible in-person PGC, you may apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Trent’s one-year PGC programs qualify graduates for up to one year of PGWP eligibility, while our two-year PGC programs qualify graduates for up to three years of PGWP eligibility.

When applying to a postgraduate certificate program, please ensure that you select the exact program and campus that you wish to study at. Be sure to research the program length, courses, and available start terms and campuses prior to submitting your application.

After submitting your application, changes to programs and campuses will not be made without a new, paid application.

Once you are registered in courses, changes cannot be made to your program or campus.
