On the picturesque banks of the Otonabee River, Trent’s Symons Campus offers an inspirational mix of state-of-the-art facilities in a stunning natural landscape. Home to world-renowned researchers and programming in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences, the campus provides the perfect environment for graduate students to challenge themselves to take their studies further.

Located in Peterborough’s historic downtown, Catharine Parr Traill College is a hub for graduate students to study, relax and socialize. Blending history and innovation, Traill is home to several graduate programs, modern lecture halls, as well as a cozy café and traditional college library. When you become a graduate student at Trent, you’re automatically a member of Traill College.

Close-knit community with the career advantages of Canada’s largest city

Just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Trent’s Durham GTA campus offers two central locations in Oshawa. Both locations offer modern new facilities, with access to academic supports and services, surrounded by cafes and restaurants to keep you going through your studies.

Master of Management students who wish to live on campus can apply to live in a dedicated space for grad students at the Thornton Road campus. The contemporary living space also features new classrooms, an outdoor courtyard and group study spaces.

Funding Your Education

Description

At Trent University, we want to ensure that you are able to concentrate on your studies while pursuing your graduate degree.

We are pleased to provide eligible full-time graduate students with annual funding:

  • Master of Arts students
  • Master of Science students
  • Ph.D. students

This financial support normally consists of a graduate teaching assistantship, with the balance coming from one or more sources of internal University funding.

Students are also encouraged to apply to external scholarship granting agencies in early fall for the subsequent year of study. Graduate students are eligible to apply for loans/grants through the Ontario Government Student Assistance Program (OSAP). The School of Graduate Studies may provide a bursary in addition to other sources of funding based on demonstrated financial need.
