A Black Hair Care Affair presented by TACSU, TCSA and BSS

Hosted by: Trent Central Student Association (TCSA), Trent African Caribbean Students’ Union (TACSU), and Black Student Success (BSS)

This special event celebrates the care, culture, and significance of Black hair. It highlights Black hair care not only as a matter of health and maintenance but also as a vital expression of identity, culture, and heritage.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore curated resources, learn practical care techniques, and engage in discussions about the cultural, historical, and social importance of Black hair.

What to Expect:

  • Free hair-care products and samples suitable for various hair types

  • Expert guidance on hair care practices and techniques

  • A feature table showcasing literature and educational materials celebrating Black hair and its role in identity and cultural expression, including Hair Happiness books by Symphorosa Gabriel
