Experiential learning is a key component of any post secondary education. The Communications Program offers many ways to include experiential learning into your undergraduate experience including:
Courses that include hands-on learning assignments
- COMM 1001H- Public Speaking
- COMM 3001H- Events Management
COOP Program
A 4 year, direct entry program, that includes 3 work terms (12 months total) as well as a full honours degree.
Field Placement
A full year course that includes in class work to prepare students for their job applications and interviews. Once hired, students work 144 hours for the placement organization for the remainder of the year and add new entries to their resumes.
Interdisciplinary Capstone
A full year course where students work with a workplace partner to complete a project that the partner identifies.
