Communications Program

Communication is integral to just about every area of human life, from our personal to our professional lives, and everything in between. Come and develop your communication skills in a program that provides students with the knowledge and opportunities they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.Venn diagram showing components of the Communications Program

Trent’s Communications Program educates students in the theory and practice of contemporary communications. The Program combines relevant skills-oriented courses with experiential learning opportunities through our placement, internship, and capstone courses, as well our Co-op Program. Each of these options provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience with organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors on real projects that enrich their resumes and prepare them for rewarding careers.

The program is offered exclusively at Trent University's Durham GTA campus, which features smaller classes and a strong sense of community. Our student-centered approach enables a greater degree of participation and more effective one-on-one instruction, creating an ideal environment where students can develop their knowledge and build their confidence.
