Are you interested in beekeeping or true crime? Have you been wanting to learn a new language like Arabic or Hebrew? This spring, members of the Peterborough community are invited to learn something new through Trent University’s spring 2019 Continuing Education offerings at Traill College.

Registration is now open for a wide-variety of Continuing Education classes, which begin March 11 and run through to May. Courses range from Arabic for Beginners and Beekeeping to True Crime and Playwriting.

“With over 120 classes covering topics in the Languages, Sciences and Arts, there is so much for community members to explore this spring at Traill College. Whether just taking one class, a whole series or an afternoon workshop – there is something for everyone,” says Dr. Michael Eamon, director of Continuing Education at Trent University and principal of Traill College.

Offered Monday through Friday evenings 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., classes are available in a “choose-your-own-adventure” style, meaning community members can pick-and-choose individual classes or register for the full six or eight-week course series.

In addition to the spring course offerings, Continuing Education at Trent is also offering several workshops on Saturdays facilitated by members of the community. Spring workshops include Soap Making Basics, Wildlife & Nature Photography, as well as two workshops focused on home renovations.

Community members can register for spring courses online at trentu.ca/continuingeducation or in person (with cash or cheque only) at the Traill College office in Scott House, 300 London Street.

Classes are $20 each (plus HST) when registering before March 6 and $30 each (HST included) after the pre-registration date. Workshops start at $60 (plus HST) depending on length and materials.
