Research Interests: Andean archaeology, pre-Hispanic Andean economy, animal consumption, visual images, production/use of rock art and geoglyphs

  • 2020-2023. Principal investigator. FONDECYT (Chilean National Funds for Science & Technology) Grant Nº 1201687 Camelids in the lowlands of the Atacama Desert: production, distribution and consumption of primary and secondary products, and images over time / Camélidos en las tierras bajas del Desierto de Atacama: producción, distribución y consumo de productos primarios, secundarios e imágenes a través del tiempo.
  • 2020-2024. Co-investigator. FONDECYT (Chilean National Funds for Science & Technology) Grant Nº 1201786 Reconstructing Mobility, Settlement, Technology and Ecosystem Services-use in the Atacama Desert by the end of the Pleistocene.
  • 2017-2021. Co-investigator. FONDECYT (Chilean National Funds for Science & Technology) Grant Nº 1171708 Violencia en la prehistoria del norte de Chile: un estudio multidisciplinario / Violence during the prehistory of northern Chile: a multidisciplinary study.
