BSc Honours Joint Major in Forensic Science Student

Where I studied previously
Fleming College
Why I chose Trent
Among all the schools I looked at, this one stood out from all of them. From breathtaking scenery, a welcome and inclusive environment, and an excellent team of professors to help your skills, knowledge and talents flourish. Along with that they have the best forensic science programs in Canada which was in line with what I want in my career.
My favourite place on campus
I would have to say the library because it's one of the best places to go to for a good study session, for furthering your knowledge of certain topics, and is a really safe space.
What I like to do outside of Academics
I often enjoy going for long walks along the campus to not only clear my mind from the everyday book cramming, but to take in the scenery of this school and to enjoy nature. The Athletics center is one of the top facilities to better yourself physically and have fun!
My thoughts on the challenges encountered by new transfer students
For transfer students, one challenge is definitely adjusting to the new environment universities introduce, because colleges and universities differ in certain ways, which often makes transfer students nervous and anxious.
A service, resource, or tool that helped me navigate my first year or first semester
Academic Advising has been a major help when it comes to planning out your future here at Trent, and they are willing to help in any way possible to make you succeed.
My one piece of advice for new transfer students
You are never alone here at this school, from academic advising, academic skills, CareerSpace, all the way to health services and peer support there are amazing people here who are willing to work their hardest so you can be the best version of you so you can succeed.
